CHAOSITY
CHAOSITY is Winnie Zhao’s 4th year Capstone project for Ryerson University. CHAOSITY is a series of hair clips created from different types of materials mixed with resin to create an artwork that will be able to transform into a 3D digital art through an augmented reality camera. Augmented reality has changed the way we view art and fashion in the digital space, as it allows us to interact with the digital media through a camera, as if it was in real life, but is not. These digital illustrations can bring out the story and meaning of a wearable piece to life. Each accessory has a digital illustration connected to them and will allow the wearer to not only have a piece of accessory but also a piece of art.
If you would like to experience the augmented reality art through your phone, please download the AR camera APP called “Artivive” on Apple Store or Google Play Store.
Closing Statement
This thesis project has been an eye-opening and self-reflective journey for myself. My primary focus while creating this thesis project was to implement as much of myself into this project as I could and learning all about augmented art and wear. I definitely do believe I did, as the storytelling were personal experiences of mine, and that art and fashion has always been a passion of mine.
