Knob & Tube

Nanurs

KNOB & TUBE maps out and examines the rigid internal conduits that provide a path for the perpetual movement of our liquid identities and expressions, much as if electricity running through the copper of a wire.

Through a gender-fluid concept, the collection aims to explore the inter-framing of rigid form of fluid identity/sexuality in a self-reflective inner state of outward bodily anonymity whilst paying strong homage to the electrical trade through stiff wiring and joint-boxes as integral parts of the foundation of the looks.

Closing Statement

The past 4 years has granted me to explore my past experiences and merge them with my current goals to create critically-lead design surrounding gender identity, and self perception. Becoming confident within my technical skill set has also allowed me to further my exploration by lifting barriers of understanding, permitting my work to fluidly exist over a diverse range of mediums and materials. My goals after the program consist of continuing to push myself to merge ideas, techniques and mediums in which will expand our understanding of what fashion truly is, and can be.
