Ziqian (Violet) Yin

At the beginning of this project, I started to think about movements: how gravity impacts the way of changing. For example, the way water flows, how leaves fall and how we perceive movements. That reminds me of how the force of energy has influenced our social change, way of thinking. My short film delivers sensational experiences on self-expression and self-reflection that could be interpreted by your own experiences. There are two major theories that will be discussed under the concept of pendulum, which represents the constant changes in social justice due to lack of balance from one side of the collective’s consciousness. The structural violence of injustice oppresses individuals and their communities, which indicates social suffering informs spiritual suffering. The coexistence of spirituality and social justices is inseparable, yet they trigger one and another. Considering suffering is an energetic expression, the response to such dark force will be light. That is exactly how a pendulum would answer to pulls of energy.

From nothing to something, about myself and my work. Finding people that supports, love me is crucial to me. My goal is to build communities to raise awareness about ourselves in order to raise each other up. This short film is a starting point for you to find me, to find you for who you are. I am evolving as the nature and the world is evolving, this piece of art will evolve overtime, and more will be revealed.
