HETEROGENIUS
HETEROGENIUS is an auto-ethnographic study of intersectional identity, expressed through an art-to-wear capsule collection. With each silhouette embodying a different slice of selfhood, HETEROGENIUS explores the nuances of compulsory heterosexuality, queerness, immigration, and living in the Asian diaspora. These facets of identity interplay through systems of patriarchal power, white supremacy, and heteronormativity, merging into a singular experience where no part exists in isolation. HETEROGENIUS (phonate: heterogeneous, i.e. composed of diverse constituents) is about the fragmented pieces that make us uniquely whole.
